work是及物动词还是不及物动词

　　work作“工作；运作；起作用”讲时，是不及物动词，后面需加介词才可以跟宾语。作“从事……工作；操作；经营；使缓慢前进”讲时，是及物动词，后面可直接加宾语。

　　（1）I started working in a recording studio.

　　我开始在一个录音棚里工作。

　　（2）He worked as a teacher for 50 years.

　　他从事教师工作50年了。

　　（3）Linda spends all her time working on the garden.

　　琳达用所有的时间在那座花园里劳作。

　　（4）She spent a period of time working with people dying of cancer.

　　她用一段时间帮助即将死于癌症的人们。

　　（1）Farmers worked the fertile valleys.

　　农民们开垦了这个肥沃的山谷。

　　（2）They work forty hours a week.

　　他们一周工作40个小时。

　　（3）Many adults still depend on their children to work the video.

　　许多成年人仍依靠他们的孩子来操作录像机。

　　（4）I know how to work the machine.

　　我知道怎么操作这台机器。
